Any course can be adapted to your specific needs and hosted at your facility, at your convenience. Fundemental Pilates: A New Approach in Movement Therapy
Pilates effectively integrates core stabilization, proper posture and breathing, with total body strengthening and flexibility. Pilates is a powerful tool to add to any therapeutic repertoire. Pilates principles can be incorporated into any type of exercise to enhance a patient's sense of kinesthetic awareness. Pilates offers a systematic approach to mind-body integration that uses sensory-motor education to retrain the body and improve the quality of movement.
The latest research on the core stabilizing muscles as well as the "Science" behind Pilates will be detailed. This one day course will cover Pilates Fundemental and Beginner level mat exercises. The Fundemental exercises can be added to the rehabilitation program of any patient to facilitate cervical, scapula, and lumbo-pelvic stabilization. Pilates Beginner level exercises offer a challenging progression of exercises for both patient and therapists alike.

Neuromuscular Core Stabilization and Retraining
Neuromuscular Core Stabilization and Retraining is lumbar stabilization taken to a higher level. Retraining the core should be about regaining motor control and skill, not strength and force production. This course will highlight the latest research on the Transverus Abdominus, Multifidus abd Pelvic Floor and how these local muscles alond with the diaphragm work together to stabilize the spine.
Abnormal patterns of muscle imbalance due to common postural faults will also be covered in this one day course. A comprehensive core evaluation for functional strength and flexibility as well as a core muscle assessment using pressure biofeedback will be practiced. A Core Retraining Home Exercise Program that can be utilized with patients immediately will also be provided.

Comprehensive Pilates Mat for Licensed HealthCare Professionals
This two-day course offers Licensed Healthcare Professionals the opportunity to learn and experience Joseph Pilates' comprehensive mat exercises from a modified fundamental level through the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Pilates exercises. Therapists will be able to implement these exercises into the treatment programs of various patient populations ranging from the Funamentals that can be integrated into any core rehabilitation program to the Advanced exercises appropriate for the trained athlete.
As in the Fundamental Pilates course, the latest research on the core stabilizing muscles as well as the "Science" behind Pilates will be detailed. Pilates Principles, the concept of Movement Awareness, and breath control to enhance motor control and improve the quality of movement will be presented.
